Una jeringa es un instrumento médico formado por un tubo cilíndrico adaptado a una bomba que se termina en una aguja.

La jeringa se utiliza para inyectar un líquido en el cuerpo, para puncionar un líquido sangre, líquido cefalorraquídeo... o para evacuar un derrame pleural, por ejemplo. El líquido inyectado puede ser un medicamento, una vacuna, sangre, alimento... Las jeringuillas sin aguja, son estériles y de un solo uso y deben ser destruidas una vez que la inyección o punción se ha realizado.
