Stool test containers are used to collect and store stool samples from the patient, who usually collects it in his or her home.

This collection can be done at any time of the day and the sample must be carried to the laboratory in an airtight container as soon as possible, never exceeding 24 hours. In any case, the sample must be stored in the fridge if it will pass a long time between its collection and its delivery. One sample is enough for a common biochemical study, but it is probable to need the collection of several samples in different days, according to the instructions of the physician.
